“Police fight abuse in the classified ads: Strathclyde police have adopted a novel way of communicating their message to potential victims of crime. The country?s biggest police force is taking out small ads in newspapers to try to cut domestic abuse and theft over the festive season. One message featured in the Wanted section of the Evening Times reads: ?Gym equipment. To stop my partner using my body as a punch bag. Domestic violence ruins lives.? Another reads: ?Frozen peas. Good at concealing the bruises of domestic violence. Violence is a crime. Report it.? . . .” Sunday Herald
