Parliament alert: Committee business this week

The Justice 1 Committee will meet on Wednesday 1 March at 9.45am in Committee Room 4. It will will consider developments in
relation to European Union Justice and Home Affairs issues; and, Petition PE841 - a petition by the Curran family, calling for the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to amend the Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths Inquiry (Scotland) Act 1976 to make provision for a mandatory inquiry in the case of a road death caused by careless drivers. The Justice 2 Committee will meet tomorrow, Tuesday 28th Februaryat 2.00 pm in Committee Room 1. It will (inter alia) consider the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill at Stage 2 (Day 1) and receive a report back from the Deputy Convener on the recent Committee visit to the European Parliament and will discuss its approach to future scrutiny of European issues.
